According to statements made to CNET, Sony representatives indicated that between 40-50 games will be specifically optimized for the PS5 Pro at launch. While the full lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, these optimized titles will include both first and third party games from Sony’s internal studios as well as development partners.
Some of the confirmed games that will receive PS5 Pro enhancements include Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed: Shadow, Demon’s Souls, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Gran Turismo 7, Hogwarts Legacy, Horizon Forbidden West, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, The Crew Motorfest, The First Descendant, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered.
In addition, the PS5 Pro will feature a “Pro Game Boost” option which is said to stabilize or improve performance for supported PS4 and PS5 games through the console. This could include increased resolutions on some PS4 titles running on the new hardware.
Sony has announced that the PS5 Pro will carry a price point of $699.99 USD or €799.99 EUR when it launches on November 7, 2024. Players can reportedly expect significant upgrades for some of gaming’s biggest upcoming titles.
